Tashomi was born and raised in South London. He is dedicated to his community, rooted in his Caribbean history and has an unshakeable fervour for his African descent.

Tashomi’s innate musical talent has naturally led him to a divine exploration of the creative freedom celebrated universally in the way jazz allows us all to let go.

With his raw and cultured playing style, Tashomi is a multi-genre musician paying homage to authentic Contemporary Jazz through Fusion, Neo-Soul, African Jazz and experimental.

The release of “All the Cruelty and All the Kindness” in 2020 sparks the official landing of Tashomi Balfour on the UK music scene.
